| Nk̓ʷusm (Salish Language Revitalization Institute) is pleased to announce the arrival of the Second Edition of the English to Salish Translation Dictionary (seliš nyoʔnuntn). The 816 page hardcover book is published by Salish Kootenai College Press, Pablo, MT and distributed by the University of Nebraska Press, Lincoln, NE. The preface includes a pronunciation guide and a brief history of Salish Orthography. The dictionary also includes root words and affixes, kinship tables and a grammar section. The dictionary was written by Nk̓ʷusm’s Executive Director, Tachini Pete. He is available to sign copies of the dictionary during facility tours and school events. |
